Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU) plans to launch a joint educational program with the Tashkent University of Information Technologies in the field of telecommunications, informatics, radio engineering, television and communication systems in September.

Upon completion of the training program, students will receive diplomas from two universities at once, said Vadim Nekrasov, Vice-Rector for International Relations of the Novosibirsk State Technical University, at the TASS press center. It is reported by TASS.

NSTU has rich experience in student exchange. The university accepts students from 41 neighboring countries, European countries, China, South Korea, etc. Today, 1,875 foreign students study at NSTU.

"Joint educational programs are mutual enrichment. A student receives an education and a diploma from two universities, it's cheaper for him, he takes the best from two universities. The maximum program is to launch the program this September," Nekrasov said in an interview with TASS.

According to him, within the framework of the program, students will study for two years at a Novosibirsk university and two years at a Tashkent university, a program completed at one partner university will be automatically credited to another. To launch the project, it is necessary to fully coordinate the program of all disciplines in terms of the volume and content of information. "It is impossible to achieve a complete match, because, for example, we are studying the history of Russia, and in Tashkent - the history of Uzbekistan, so something has to be added," the vice-rector added.

NSTU is one of the largest universities in Siberia and one of the largest technical universities in Russia. More than 13 thousand students study in it, more than 1.5 thousand teachers work there. The university consists of 16 faculties, which are located in eight academic buildings.
