Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — TBC Uzbekistan, Central Asia’s leading digital banking ecosystem, has appointed Sharof Sharipov as Chief Financial Officer of TBC Digital, the management company overseeing all ecosystem businesses.

Sharipov brings over 20 years of experience in the banking and financial sectors in the United Kingdom. His career spans equity and debt market transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs), public and private mergers and acquisitions, bond issuances, and cross-border asset operations.

He previously held senior positions in the mergers and acquisitions divisions of Virgin Money and UBS Investment Bank and served as CFO for fintech companies Token Inc and 10x Banking. Sharipov is a graduate of the University of Warwick, UK.

In his new role, he will work closely with TBC Uzbekistan CEO Nika Kurdiani, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TBC Digital Oliver Hughes, and board members David Nangle and Matthew Risley, contributing to the development of strategies for the ecosystem’s continued profitable growth.

Nika Kurdiani, CEO of TBC Uzbekistan, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Sharof to the team. The ecosystem has already demonstrated impressive expansion and has become one of the most trusted brands in a dynamic market. Together with the team, we will continue to expand the product portfolio, enhance synergy across the ecosystem, and ensure strong profitability.”

TBC Uzbekistan comprises several digital businesses: TBC Bank, one of the country’s largest digital banks; the payment app payme; the installment service TBC Nasiya; the insurance company TBC Sug‘urta; and the retail automation platform BILLZ.

In the first nine months of 2025, the ecosystem’s net profit totaled 2.416 trillion soums, with credit and deposit portfolios growing by 83% and 64% year-on-year, respectively.
