Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution "On additional measures aimed at increasing the number of small cattle for meat, wool and dairy and strengthening the forage base of the industry in the republic" was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution, the following procedure for granting a loan for the development of astrakhan breeding has been established:

funds as loans are allocated at a rate calculated by adding a 4% bank margin to the main rate of the Central Bank;

loans are issued under the following conditions:

business entities for up to 5 years, including a three-year grace period, for the purchase of sheep and goats from abroad for meat, wool and dairy; 

business entities for a period of up to 10 years, including a three-year grace period, to finance their projects for the creation of feed shops (granulators) and the organization of processing of meat, wool and dairy products;

business entities for a period of up to 5 years, including a three-year grace period, for the extraction (drilling or overhaul of wells) of water to meet the water needs of livestock on pastures and the installation of resource-saving equipment at water facilities.

According to the adopted resolution, from 1 January 2023 to 1 January 2026, tax and customs benefits have been extended for entities engaged in the cultivation of silkworm mulberry, mulberry seedlings and cocoons, cocoon processing and production of finished products, as well as astrakhan breeding, enterprises for processing of astrakhan products and producers of astrakhan products.
