Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The competition for the creation of the Istiklol complex, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of our country’s independence, announced on the official website and pages of the Tashkent city administration on social networks, caused a heated discussion.
Tashkent’s khokimiyat reminded that in the conditions of the competition it is separately indicated that the creation of a complex reflecting the history of our country, our achievements in the years of independence, national uniqueness should be carried out with the preservation of perennial ornamental trees on the territory and without affecting the current state of the park.
Starting today, the Tashkent City Department for Ecology and Environmental Protection will carry out an inventory and protect all trees on the territory where it is planned to build the Istiklol complex.
A photo of the project of the complex, distributed on social networks, is not a basis for construction. The reason for the announcement of the competition also lies in creating conditions for the general public to discuss projects.
The selection committee will accept proposals for projects primarily aimed at creating a safe environment and favorable conditions for people, while preserving all the trees on the territory.
