Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 10 November, the khokim of the city of Tashkent, Jakhongir Artikkhodjaev, met with experts from the KMPG expert and analytical company and a responsible officer of the UN Development Program.

The meeting discussed the issue of establishing an effective system for combating corruption and control in local authorities. 

According to experts of the KMPG, the measures implemented in our country to combat corruption are highly appreciated by international organizations. The company’s specialists carried out work in this area in the Ministry of Justice, Uzbekneftegaz JSC, Uzkimyosanoat. And now the project will be implemented in the khokimiyats of the city of Tashkent and Mirzo-Ulugbek district.

As part of the project to improve efficiency and control in the fight against corruption, the existence of an appropriate system in khokimiyats and the measures taken will be studied, as well as risks will be identified, based on which the relevant documents will then be developed and work with employees will be carried out.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the topic in detail, after which the persons responsible for the project were identified.
