Tashkent Youth Forum kicks off at Congress Hall

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- For the first time, this large-scale event, organized by the khokimiyat of Tashkent at the initiative of the head of state, took place in 2020. Then more than 10,000 boys and girls took part in it. By the time of the opening, 15,000 participants have registered to participate in this year’s event via the Telegram bot. Tashkent Youth Forum - 2021 will be held on December 20-21, 2021 in the capital’s Congress Hall. The organizer of the Forum is the khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent.

The goal of the Tashkent Youth Forum - 2021 - is to unite active, purposeful and proactive youth, to form in them a sense of belonging to the life of the country, to support ideas and initiatives.

Young people will become direct participants in a large-scale event and will meet with the heads of ministries and departments, scientists, experts, representatives of the arts, culture and sports, media figures.

Today, on 20 December, the grand opening of the Forum took place. On the same day, meetings with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov, Minister of Justice Ruslanbek Davletov, Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education Abdukodir Tashkulov, Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov, and Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbek will be held on the main stage. Forum participants will have the opportunity to ask their questions using the "open microphone".

Other halls will host dialogues between representatives of the embassies of Germany, Russia, the United States, Switzerland, France and Japan, a meeting with First Deputy Director of the Civil Service Development Agency under the President of Uzbekistan Otabek Khasanov, master classes with writers and artists, as well as screening of the documentary film "Abdullah Qadiri ".

The official partner of the forum Bank Apelsin will present a conversation with the Chairman of the Board Sergey Gimadiev on the topic “Financial literacy of youth and employment in digital banking”. Young people will be able to learn how to save and increase their funds and get a job in a rapidly developing sector of the economy.

On the second day of the Forum, on 21 December, participants will continue their conversations with bloggers and influencers, an open dialogue with employees of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate and the National Guard, discussion of gender equality issues and many other interesting events.

The youth will meet with the director of the Agency of Presidential Educational Institutions of Uzbekistan Khilola Umarova.

The big stage will host meetings with Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Foreign Economic Relations - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov, Minister of Health Behzod Musaev, Minister of Employment and Labor Relations Nozim Khusanov, Chairman of the State Tax Committee Sherzod Kudbiev, Director of the Agency for Youth Affairs Alisher Sadullaev.

A separate hall will host the "Women’s Forum". Famous and successful women of Uzbekistan will speak at it, who will talk about their careers and motivate girls. Among the speakers are Irina Matvienko, Shakhnoza Soatova, Akida Khanum, Dilfuza Kurolova, Aziza Umarova. Moderator - Aziza Kurbonova.

Within the framework of the Forum, the organizers will announce the launch of a grants program for studying abroad, hold contests and award winners of events held within the framework of the month “Tashkent loves youth”. The ceremony of awarding scholarships to the students of the Khokim of Tashkent will take place.

The Forum will include meetings with designers, businessmen, public sector experts, bloggers, movie stars, as well as quizzes, fashion shows, a concert of the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan and other events. In addition, the start of the selection of candidates for training on a grant basis at the French School of Culinary Arts Le Cordon Bleu will be announced. The duration of the training program is 3-10 months, the winners will be covered by the costs of training, international flights, room and board.

As a result of the forum, the 100 best proposals of young people received during the event will be united, and measures will be taken to implement them in the future.

Tashkent Youth Forum 2021 can rightfully be called a bright event in the life of the capital, which is designed to unite young people and provide them with new opportunities.

The forum, which will be held at the end of the Year of Supporting Youth and Strengthening Public Health, will be a good opportunity to discuss the implemented measures, the changes that have taken place and development prospects in 2022. The event will serve as a bridge between government officials and youth.
