Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the chairmanship of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, on 24 June 2022, Tashkent will host the second Meeting of Energy Ministers of the SCO Member States.

The heads of the Ministries of Energy of Uzbekistan, India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, the Russian Federation and Tajikistan will discuss the state of and prospects for cooperation in such a strategic direction for the Organization.

As a result of the Meeting, the approval of conceptual documents on the SCO energy track is expected, in particular, the Action Plan for the practical implementation of the Concept of Cooperation of the SCO Member States in the field of energy, as well as the draft Program of Cooperation of the SCO Member States in the field of the use of renewable energy sources, initiated by the Uzbek side.

The heads of delegations of the SCO member states will also take part in the upcoming Energy Forum of Uzbekistan.
