Tashkent to Host the Second Indian Women’s Film Festival “Sashakt Nari – Celebrating Womanhood”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Embassy of India in Uzbekistan has announced the second edition of the Indian Women’s Film Festival, “Sashakt Nari – Celebrating Womanhood,” which will take place from 13 to 15 March 2026, in Tashkent.

The event is timed to coincide with International Women’s Day and is organized with the support of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of India, the National Film Development Corporation of India, and in collaboration with the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan.

The festival will showcase popular Indian films that focus on women overcoming life’s challenges and hardships through courage, perseverance, and resilience.

Screenings will be held at the Palace of National Cinematic Arts (Panorama Cinema).

Organizers invite all cinema enthusiasts to attend the festival and enjoy the films with family and friends, highlighting the importance of women’s stories and inspiring figures in contemporary cinema.
