Tashkent to Host the 2025 Anniversary Ceremony of the “Time for Innovation” Award
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Tashkent is set to become the capital of innovation as Uzbekistan prepares to host the award ceremony of the prestigious “Time for Innovation” prize.
In an era of rapid technological transformation, innovation defines future leadership, determines the competitiveness of nations and companies, and sets the direction for global progress.
The annual Time for Innovation award honors outstanding projects and practices that not only respond to modern challenges but actively shape the future of their industries. In 2025, the award reaches a new milestone — the anniversary ceremony will take place in December in Tashkent, the dynamic growth hub of Central Asia.
The choice of venue underscores the award’s growing international profile and opens new opportunities for global collaboration.
“Hosting the anniversary ceremony in Tashkent is symbolic — it highlights the rising role of Central Asia on the global technology map. Events dedicated to technology and digital transformation act as catalysts for progress, enabling knowledge exchange and the joint creation of a future where technology serves people and sustainable regional development. Innovation is the path to economic growth, effective governance, and a successful future,” said Elena Khomutova, Executive Director of the award.
The 2025 Time for Innovation award includes nominations across key technological areas: “Technological Breakthrough of the Year,” “Project of the Year,” “Import Substitution and Localization: Company of the Year,” “Best Project Promoting Innovation,” “ESG Innovation of the Year,” “Innovation-Driven Company of the Year,” “AI Project of the Year,” and “AI Solution of the Year.”
This year, special focus is given to cybersecurity. A new initiative — the Leaders of Cybersecurity project — will debut as part of the award, aimed at defining protection standards in the digital era and recognizing best practices in countering cyber threats. Nominations in this category include “Cyberhero of the Year,” “Program of the Year,” “Cloud Security Solution of the Year,” “For Contribution to Cybersecurity Development,” “Company of the Year,” “Product of the Year,” and “Discovery of the Year.”
Before the award ceremony, participants will attend a large-scale “Time for Innovation” Forum, featuring thematic tracks on innovation and digital technologies in business and governance, biotechnology, and cybersecurity. The cybersecurity track will be supported by Cyberdom.
The forum will serve as a platform for professional dialogue, showcasing success stories, sharing best practices, and establishing new business connections.
Earlier editions of the forum featured notable presentations, including Gazprombank’s project on implementing quantum-inspired algorithms — a vivid example of how industry leaders share cutting-edge solutions.
