Tashkent to host session of Council of CIS Foreign Ministers
He said that Foreign ministers of Armenia Edvard Nalbaldyan, Belarus Vladimir Makey, Kazakhstan Kairat Abdrahmanov, Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldayev, Russia Sergei Lavrov, Tajikistan Sirojiddin Aslov and the CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev will take part in the session.
Deputy foreign ministers will represent Azerbaijan, Moldova and Turkmenistan, he said.
During the session, the CIS Foreign Ministers will consider 16 issues and ten of them will be submitted for approval to the Council of Heads of State and the Council of Heads of Government.
These documents are related to the interaction of the CIS countries in the foreign policy, legal, cultural and humanitarian areas, and to ensuring security, countering the legalization of proceeds from criminal activities, financing of terrorism and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
Foreign Ministers of the CIS are expected to exchange views on the issues of strengthening regional security and stability, deepening trade, economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation, as well as ensuring sustainable development of the CIS member-states.
