Tashkent to host Korean songs contest

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Embassy of South Korea in Uzbekistan is planning to hold the Fifth contest for the best performance of Korean song at Turkiston Palace in Tashkent on 19 August 2016.

The contest was organized for the first time in 2012 and held annually. The qualification round was held on 9 July and the winners will present their songs at Turkiston Palace.

The winner will become a candidate to participate in the K-POP World Festival 2016 contest.

Alladin band won the contest in Uzbekistan in 2013 and participated at K-POP WORLD FESTIVAL. Uzbek band won the first place in the final stage as well.

The Embassy said that this year, the contest will include lottery and a photo exhibition dedicated to South Korea.
