Tashkent regional governor becomes member of Senate

Governor of Tashkent region Sodiq Abdullaev became a member of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan said.
The resolution on registration of Sodiq Abdullaev as a member of the Senate was adopted at the session of the Central Election Commission on 28 March.
Sodiq Abdullaev was appointed as the governor of Tashkent region in the beginning of February 2016.
The Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan also abolished authorities of the member of the Senate Fahriddin Umarov in connection with abolishment of his duties as the MP of the Navoi regional Council of People’s Deputies.
