Tashkent region to reconstruct 72 km of roads

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 August 2013, President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a resolution on measures on developing road-transport, engineering-communication and social infrastructure of Tashkent region in 2013-2015.

The resolution envisages improvement of architecture look of settlements, improve level and quality of services, construction and reconstruction of water, electricity, gas and heating.

UzA reported that it is planned to reconstruct central streets and districts, construct trade and service points, as well as houses.

The programme also stipulates reconstruction of 72 km of roads of general use and repair 246 km of internal roads.

It also planned to open 42 new routes for passenger transportation and purchase new 135 buses.

The programme said that there are also plans to construct 3,150 industrial houses on standard project and 20 multistoried houses with 480 flats. Over thousands of multistoried houses will be repaired.
