Tashkent Region and Poland Strengthen Economic Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Tashkent region continues to actively develop international cooperation with the Republic of Poland.

Following directives announced at a video conference chaired by the President on 15 January 2026, and with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Warsaw, a working visit to Poland was organized by Dilshod Rasulov, Assistant to the Hokim of Tashkent Region.

During the visit, a meeting was held with Lucjan Zwolak, Deputy General Director of the Polish National Agricultural Development Center (Krajowy Ośrodek Wsparcia Rolnictwa – KOWR).

Both sides highly appreciated the visit of the Polish delegation, led by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland, S. Krajewski, and KOWR General Director H. Smolarz, to Uzbekistan on November 26–28, 2025. It was noted that the agreements reached are helping to expand agricultural production and processing, improve storage, and increase export potential.

Discussions also focused on deepening cooperation in the agro-industrial sector, implementing joint projects, and optimizing logistics chains.

The visit included an assessment of the practical opportunities offered by the logistics hub allocated for Uzbekistan in the Ręgnów commune of the Łódź Voivodeship under KOWR’s management. This infrastructure is critical for the efficient and timely delivery of Uzbek agricultural products to European Union markets.

In addition, meetings were held with executives of Polish companies operating in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship, including Impel Group, Liderzy Nieruchomosci, Dreyzac, Brigante, and Yoshi Innovation.

During the negotiations, detailed information was presented on efforts to improve the investment climate in Uzbekistan and Tashkent region, create favorable conditions for foreign investors, and highlight priority areas for investment.

Special attention was given to promising projects, including stable electricity generation from gas in remote regions, the introduction of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in agriculture, and the construction of modern medical clinics meeting international standards.

As a result of the talks, an agreement was reached to conduct a business mission of Polish companies to Uzbekistan in February 2026, aimed at strengthening practical cooperation, reviewing investment projects on-site, and developing concrete proposals.

The meetings and dialogue during the visit marked an important step toward forming specific economic projects at the regional level and further expanding foreign economic ties between Tashkent region and the Republic of Poland.
