Tashkent Prepares to Host the 46th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 January, Tashkent will host the 46th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).
The capital is currently undergoing extensive preparations to ensure that this prestigious international event is held at the highest organizational level.
As part of the preparations, a working meeting was held at the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan to address key organizational matters.
The meeting was attended by Odil Abdurakhmanov, Presidential Representative on Sports Affairs, as well as the leadership of the Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee.
During the session, specific tasks were outlined to ensure a proper reception for representatives of the National Olympic Committees of 45 Asian countries, as well as for distinguished guests and officials from international sports organizations.
Particular attention was given to transportation logistics, visa support for participants and guests, and coordination of organizational processes.
Additionally, discussions were held on finalizing the program and agenda of the General Assembly with official representatives of the Olympic Council of Asia, ensuring protocol events, and creating comfortable conditions for the work of delegations.
Hosting the 46th General Assembly of the OCA in Tashkent will be a significant event for the development of sports in Uzbekistan and will further strengthen the country’s international standing within the Olympic movement.
