Tashkent Pharma Park Becomes First CIS Member of the Global Cosmetics Cluster

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The pharmaceutical cluster Tashkent Pharma Park has become the first participant from the CIS countries to join the international Global Cosmetics Cluster (GCC).

The accession agreement was signed on October 16, 2025, in Paris as part of initiatives aimed at expanding global cooperation.

The Global Cosmetics Cluster brings together clusters and organizations from various countries engaged in cosmetics, perfumery, and skincare. Currently, the network includes 17 clusters, including those from Portugal (AEBB / Cosmetic Cluster Portugal), Spain (Beauty Cluster), Italy (Polo della Cosmesi), Japan (Japan Cosmetic Center, JCC), and South Korea (IBITA).

Membership of Tashkent Pharma Park opens new opportunities for the exchange of innovations and expertise, scientific research, support for startups, market integration, and the organization of international trade missions.

According to the agreement, a delegation of French cosmetics companies, led by Cosmetic Valley, is scheduled to visit Uzbekistan at the end of April 2026. The mission will include B2B meetings, scientific forums, and the signing of cooperation agreements.

At the GCC general assembly, the Uzbek delegation presented the cluster’s activities, scientific potential, and promising projects in cosmetics and biotechnology.

This membership provides opportunities to introduce advanced technologies, expand international cooperation, attract investments, and integrate Uzbekistan’s cosmetics industry into global markets, strengthening the country’s position within the international community of innovative cosmetics.
