Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Tashkent Metro has set a new record by transporting one million passengers in a single day on Monday, 16 December. This milestone highlights the growing popularity of the metro among the residents of the capital.

The State Unitary Enterprise "Toshkent Metropoliteni" congratulated all passengers on this achievement. The lucky millionth passenger was awarded a commemorative souvenir and a special transport card providing free travel on all forms of public transportation for an entire year.
