Tashkent is included in the "red" quarantine zone

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent included a "red" level of quarantine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.

Also, Tashkent and Samarkand regions have been declared a "yellow" zone.

As a reminder, from 5 May 2020, districts and cities have been assigned a “red”, “yellow” or “green” quarantine level based on an assessment of the sanitary and epidemiological situation.

As earlier reported, from 28 June to 12 July, restrictions are imposed on entry to Tashkent from neighboring regions by vehicles (cars and buses) in the absence of an urgent need.

The Ministry of Health clarified in what cases and whom the restrictions will not affect:

  • persons permanently residing (registered) in Tashkent;
  • foreign citizens permanently residing (registered) in Tashkent;
  • persons visiting Tashkent for treatment;
  • persons from regions permanently working in Tashkent (if there is a document confirming the place of work);
  • persons flying abroad through the Tashkent International Airport (if they have a plane ticket);
  • foreign citizens who arrived in Uzbekistan as tourists and drivers of vehicles transporting them, and in the case of a group - an interpreter or representative of a travel company;
  • in all cases concerning cargo transportation, as well as building materials (sand, crushed stone, etc.), agricultural products by any means of transport and postal items "Uzbekiston Pochtasi";
  • employees of the health care system and the sanitary-epidemiological service.
