Tashkent hosts seminar on new legislation in securities market

Management and specialists of Uzbekistan Stock Exchange, Central Depository and professional participants of the securities market participated at the event.

The seminar is aimed at familiarizing the participants of the securities market with latest changes in the legislation of securities market, work on further improving legislative base and explain the participants on new changes in the legislation.

At the meeting, the participants considered improving legislative acts on securities market. It was noted that all participants of the securities market should actively participate in process of improving legislation on securities market.

It was underlined that new changes to legislation will help to increase volume and number of deals at the organized securities market, especially in stock exchange, due to improvement of investment climate and strengthening competitive environment.

During the event, the participants of the seminar familiarized with the draft laws “On mortgage securities market” and “On securitization”, as well as order of registration of securities by non-residents and outside of Uzbekistan, issued by the residents, etc.
