Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent hosted an international conference "Afghanistan: regional interconnectedness, security and development".
This forum became a logical continuation of the international high-level conference "Afghanistan: security and economic development" held in Tashkent in July this year, which confirmed our common interest and focus on strengthening security and development Afghanistan.
The event was organized by the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Tashkent meeting was attended by delegations from the security and intelligence agencies of Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
The participants of the event, Advisor - Speechwriter of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Khayriddin Sultanov, voiced a greeting message from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Following the results of the international conference, representatives of the participating countries defined specific tasks and areas of mutually beneficial cooperation, and confirmed their commitment to the joint fight against terrorism, which poses a serious threat to regional and global security.
