Tashkent hosts Books Festival

A Republican Book Festival kicked off in Uzbekistan on 26 May. Uzbek Agency for Print and Information organized the event in cooperation with several ministries and departments.
The festival is taking place at Park of Culture and Recreation named after Gafur Gulyam. Various scientific, public-political, spiritual, children and other books are presented here. The visitors can also buy books.
Young painters presented their work, which were created in book graphic and miniature.
Currently, over 100 publishing houses, 50 publishing departments under educational establishments, enterprises and organizations, over 1,700 polygraph enterprises work in Uzbekistan. They published over 5,000 literatures with 5 million copies.
