Tashkent Discusses Creation of Bio-Cluster at Tashkent Pharma Park
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 December 2025, Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, held a working meeting with representatives of the Korean Infrastructure and Urban Development Corporation (KIND).
During the meeting, KIND representatives presented the concept of a Bio-Cluster planned within the Tashkent Pharma Park pharmaceutical cluster.
The discussion was constructive, with both sides reviewing project implementation stages, estimated investment volumes, and the cluster’s impact on the urban environment and municipal infrastructure.
Abdulla Azizov briefed the guests on the cluster’s infrastructure capabilities and government incentives supporting the pharmaceutical sector.
It was emphasized that the project will strengthen Uzbekistan’s position in the pharmaceutical industry, while the creation of the Bio-Cluster marks a new phase of cooperation with South Korea in biotechnology.
The parties agreed to jointly implement promising projects in education, innovation, and technology, and to hold a follow-up meeting to coordinate next steps.
