Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 April 2022, Deputy Khokim of Tashkent - Head of Investment and Foreign Trade Department Sharof Rakhmanov met with a delegation of the Moscow government chaired by Alexei Bondaruk, Deputy Head of the Moscow Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations.
It was noted that due to the coronavirus pandemic, the previous agreement between Tashkent and Moscow, signed in 2018, was only partially implemented. The parties expressed their intention to prepare a new large-scale agreement between the capitals.
In addition to the Festivals of Culture - Days of Tashkent in Moscow and Days of Moscow in Tashkent, the agreement will reflect the following aspects:
• Training seminars and other events to improve the skills of doctors, including in the field of neurosurgery.
• Interaction at the level of city management experts, exchange of experience and best practices in situational centers of the capitals.
• Exchange of experience in urban transport management: organization of parking lots, analytics and planning, use of electric buses.
• Exchange of experience in the preservation of cultural and historical heritage.
• Holding joint exhibitions, including the use of the pavilion of Uzbekistan at VDNKh as a platform for common events.
• Participation of Moscow in the Interuniversity Forum held in Tashkent, and participation of Tashkent schoolchildren in the Moscow Olympiads.
It was decided to continue consultations to fill the forthcoming agreement with rich content.
