Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The license of the private "Tanzilandia" kindergarten in Tashkent has been revoked after being embroiled in a scandal involving the abuse of children, as reported by the press service of the Tashkent City Courts.

The decision was made by the Tashkent Economic Court following an inspection conducted by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education in February 2025.

The inspection revealed serious violations in the kindergarten’s operations, which led to the revocation of its educational license.

It is worth noting that on 27 February 2025, Bahtiyor Abdullaev, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Science, Education, and Healthcare, requested Minister of Preschool and School Education Khilola Umarova to address cases of child abuse in both state and private kindergartens.

The issue arose after seven parents filed complaints about the mistreatment of children by educators and demanded action. Earlier, on February 12, disturbing video recordings surfaced on social media showing the kindergarten staff abusing and beating the children.

The Ministry of Preschool and School Education appealed to the court with a request to revoke the kindergarten’s license, and on March 19, 2025, the court granted this request. The kindergarten’s management filed an appeal, but the court rejected it, upholding the original ruling.
