Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 November, the khokim of Tashkent Jahongir Artikhodjaev received a delegation from Ryazan region of the Russian Federation, headed by Governor Nikolai Lyubimov.

The Governor announced the opening of a showroom in Tashkent, which presents the products of enterprises operating in Ryazan region, noting the importance of the event for enhancing mutually beneficial economic relations. 56 enterprises from Ryazan will present about five hundred product samples, and the heads of ten enterprises arrived in Tashkent to communicate, establish contacts and start partnerships. Emphasizing the importance of economic cooperation, the governor also noted the value of cultural ties, spoke about the vast diaspora of Uzbeks in Ryazan, and announced his intention to hold "Days of Tashkent in Ryazan" next year and organize a tour of artists from Ryazan in Tashkent.

The khokim of Tashkent, confirming the need for cooperation and partnership, noted: he considers the opening of the showroom to be a way out to a new level of effective cooperation, and proposed not to be limited only to economic partnership, but to expand ties and exchange cultural programs, to attract young people to participate in events.

The khokim and the governor also discussed the state of affairs on countering the spread of coronavirus and exchanged information on methods of encouraging citizens to vaccinate.

The parties shared their experience in creating technoparks and agreed to continue communication for the development of cooperation in the spheres of economy, culture and tourism.
