Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, the khokim of the city of Tashkent, Jahongir Artikhodjaev, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt Amira Fahmi.

During the meeting, attention was paid to the state of bilateral relations and the issue of their further development was discussed.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt Amira Fahmi expressed gratitude to the khokim of the capital for the high attention paid, noted the achievements of our country in the field of construction and creation, social and economic sectors.

It was also noted that the organization of cultural events and exhibitions demonstrating cultural masterpieces and centuries-old traditions of Egypt will make a significant contribution to the development of mutual tourism. 

In addition, Mrs. Fahmi suggested holding joint cultural and educational events aimed at expanding the exchange of experience between qualified specialists in the field of medicine of Egypt and leaders of the sphere in Uzbekistan, studying the history and culture of Uzbekistan and Egypt. 

In turn, the khokim of the city of Tashkent Jahongir Artikhodjaev noted the need to further strengthen ties between Tashkent and Cairo and supported the proposal to organize international tourism exhibitions and fairs in the capitals.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
