Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A forum of entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Belarus, as well as other opportunities for expanding cooperation, is being discussed by the delegation of the Tashkent khokimiyat, which is on a visit to Minsk.
In the future, it is planned to establish mutually beneficial cooperation between the capitals of the two countries on a solid foundation by concluding an agreement on the status of sister cities between Tashkent and Minsk.
During this visit, the foundation is being laid for a future agreement. In particular, agreements have been signed on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between the capitals.
The visit program of the delegation of the Tashkent Khokimiyat also included a visit to a number of enterprises and institutions, including the Minsk Scientific and Practical Center for Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology, as well as the city technopark.
Trade turnover between the capital of Uzbekistan and Belarus is steadily increasing and in 2018 it reached US$86.5 million. Currently, 32 enterprises with Belarusian capital are working in Tashkent, including Amkador-Agrotechmash, MAZ-Tashkent, Belpharm and others joint ventures.
