Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 29 August 2020, entrance exams to the Tashkent branch of the University of Economics and Technology of Turkey were held at the Tashkent State University of Economics.
In the new academic year, the Tashkent branch of the University of Economics and Technology of Turkey will accept a total of 100 students in 2 two directions (e-commerce and technology management - 50 students, international business and entrepreneurship - 50 students). More than 500 students submitted documents to this educational institution.
It should be noted that during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkey, on 19 February, Ankara hosted the first meeting of the Uzbek-Turkish Council for Strategic Cooperation of the highest level, following which the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey signed Memorandum on the opening in Tashkent of a branch of the University of Economics and Technology of Turkey at the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.
On 17 June 2020, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 389 was adopted on the opening of a branch of the Turkish University of Economics and Technology TOBB ETU in Tashkent.
The branch of the university is located in the capital and will train specialists in the direction of business and entrepreneurship on the basis of a dual education system. The academic year at the University of Economics and Technology of Turkey consists of 3 semesters.
The University has taken as a basis in its curriculum and education system, elements of dual education, aimed at "co-education" with industry, where theoretical knowledge of 2 semesters duration is associated with 1 semester practice.
Students have a unique opportunity to travel to Turkey, which will provide an opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of foreign enterprises, as well as undergo an internship in different countries. During their studies, students of this university will get acquainted with the activities of the world's leading companies and famous entrepreneurs.
One of the three trimesters will be dedicated entirely to practice. Students will undergo practical training in large enterprises in our country, as well as abroad in the field of electrical engineering, in textile and fruit and vegetable clusters. All this will take place with the provision of food and accommodation.
In 2013, a Technology Center was opened at TOBB ETU to provide services in the field of education, training and research, and TOBB ETU - GARAJ, which helps young entrepreneurs in the implementation of their business ideas, began its work.
The Tashkent branch of the University of Economics and Technology of Turkey is also planning to open a similar center to implement the plans of entrepreneurs.
