Tashkent Airport Confirms RA3 International Status for the UK and EU
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The cargo terminal of Tashkent International Airport has successfully undergone revalidation of its RA3 (Regulated Agent Third Country) international status for both the United Kingdom and European Union countries.
The revalidation was conducted by independent accredited auditors following the relocation of UzCargo to a new, modern cargo terminal in spring 2025.
The RA3 status confirmation signifies that the terminal fully meets EU and UK aviation security requirements for cargo handling and retains the authorization to prepare cargo and mail for direct air shipments to these destinations.
Experts highlighted the high standards maintained by the Uzbekistan Airports Aviation Security Department, which played a key role in the successful revalidation process.
Tashkent International Airport was assigned unique registration numbers UZ/RA3/00001-01 and UK/RA3/00001-01, entered into the official European RA3 agents database, valid through August 2028.
The confirmation of RA3 status facilitates faster deliveries, simplifies logistics chains, reduces time and financial costs for partners, and enhances the airport’s attractiveness for international carriers and logistics companies.
Thus, Tashkent, positioning itself as a key aviation hub in Central Asia, reaffirms its role in the global secure air cargo supply chain to Europe, expanding opportunities for export and transit cargo.
