Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During her official visit to Budapest, Chairwoman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, held a meeting with President of Hungary Tamás Schüjok.
At the start of the conversation, it was noted that in recent years, cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary has reached an unprecedented level, and the friendly relations between the two countries have evolved into a strategic partnership.
It was emphasized that the shared historical, cultural, and traditional values uniting the peoples of Uzbekistan and Hungary play a significant role in further strengthening interstate ties.
The parties paid special attention to expanding economic cooperation, developing interregional collaboration, and intensifying trade relations between the business communities of both countries.
Preparations for the Year of Culture, Science, and Innovation between Uzbekistan and Hungary, scheduled for 2026, were also discussed.
The sides exchanged views on organizing a series of major events in both countries.
Additionally, they discussed further strengthening interparliamentary cooperation and implementing the agreements reached at the level of the heads of state.
