Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 30 November 2021, as part of the participation of the delegation of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the 143rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Madrid, the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva met with the Chairperson of the Chamber of Deputies Of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Bahrain by Fawzia Abdullah Zeynal.

The parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations, which were developed as a result of the reforms initiated under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

In particular, the Chairperson of the Chamber of Deputies of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Bahrain highly appreciated the large-scale effective reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, including in the field of gender equality, protection of the rights and interests of women.

The sides also stressed the importance of cooperation between Bahrain and Uzbekistan in various fields, including inter-parliamentary, noting that this will serve to bring bilateral relations to a new level of interaction.

Fawzia Abdullah Zeynal invited the Chairperson of the Senate of Uzbekistan to pay an official visit to Bahrain.

She also accepted an invitation to participate in the 2022 Forum of Women Speakers

During the meeting, the sides also discussed the prospects for cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.

The parties expressed their interest in the further development of bilateral relations.
