Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the seventh plenary meeting of the upper house of parliament, Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbaeva expressed her opinion on the Law "On the prevention and treatment of drug addiction diseases" and raised issues that need to be addressed in this direction.

“Each of us is well aware of the serious consequences of drug addiction and diseases associated with it,” said Senate Chairman T. Narbaeva. - Of course, in our country, patients suffering from this ailment are provided with the necessary medical care, measures are taken to rehabilitate them.

The main issue that needs to be addressed is prevention. First of all, it is necessary to use effective mechanisms to combat the import and use of drugs and psychoactive substances in the country. Such substances are used mainly by young people. Cases of the use of various artificial (synthetic) substances in addition to traditional drugs are becoming more frequent, which should worry each of us.

Nowadays it is easier to mislead young people through social networks on the Internet than to search for them on the street and instill in them a passion for drugs. On the Internet, you can find thousands of "tips" for the preparation and use of synthetic psychoactive substances.

In this regard, it should be noted that it is wrong to think that the fight against drug addiction is only the work of law enforcement agencies. We are all responsible for this!
