Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 2 June 2025, Tanzila Narbaeva, Chairwoman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Oleg Malginov, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan.

The parties reviewed the outcomes of the Ambassador’s diplomatic mission, highlighting his significant contribution to strengthening Uzbek-Russian relations over the past four years. Attention was focused on the development of dialogue in political, economic, and humanitarian spheres.

Special emphasis was placed on the importance of further expanding interparliamentary cooperation, including within international parliamentary platforms. The key role of the political will of the leaders of both countries in deepening the strategic partnership was underlined, as well as the growing significance of the parliaments in advancing the bilateral agenda.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to continue constructive cooperation in the interests of the peoples of Uzbekistan and Russia.
