Syrdarya Region and China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Agree on New Projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Acting Hokim of Syrdarya Region Erkinjon Turdimov met with a delegation from the People’s Republic of China led by Zhang Jinping, Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the People’s Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR).
During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation, implementing joint projects, and strengthening partnerships between Syrdarya Region and XUAR.
Erkinjon Turdimov highlighted the region’s achievements in the agricultural sector and outlined promising areas for collaboration in industry and agro-processing, emphasizing the mutual benefits of projects involving entrepreneurs from both sides.
Zhang Jinping praised Syrdarya Region’s accomplishments, particularly in cotton production, and expressed the interest of XUAR businesses in developing cooperation in agriculture, industry, and logistics.
The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Following the discussions, the parties agreed to further develop partnership initiatives and implement new joint projects.
