Syrdarya Joins ASOCIO After AI Summit in Bangkok

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the Syrdarya region visited Bangkok, Thailand, where it took part in the ASOCIO AI Summit 2026, an international forum on IT and digital technologies for Asia and Oceania. Representatives from 24 countries participated in the event, discussing cooperation opportunities and investment projects.

During the summit, the delegation presented Syrdarya region’s digitalization potential, investment opportunities, and initiatives aimed at developing the IT sector.

Following the event, the regional administration officially became a member of ASOCIO, a prominent organization uniting 24 economic regions across Asia and Oceania and more than 20,000 international IT companies focused on advancing the digital economy and high technologies.

In addition, practical agreements were reached with leading international IT associations, including P@SHA (Pakistan), IBPAP (Philippines), J.A.N. Associates Ltd (Bangladesh), JISA (Japan), and FTII (Indonesia).

These agreements are expected to support startup development, facilitate joint initiatives, and expand international cooperation.

The partnerships are also expected to contribute to the development of BPO services, increase the region’s IT exports, and introduce advanced international practices in Syrdarya, strengthening its position as a modern digital and technology hub.
