“Surdo-online” tablets launched in 11 Public Service Centers of the capital.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Now people with speech and hearing disabilities can receive the necessary service at the Public Service Centers of the city of Tashkent without a sign language interpreter.

Starting from 3 November 2020, surdo-online tablets have been launched in pilot mode at 11 Public Service Centers in the capital.

At the entrance to the Public Service Centers, at the reception, as well as on the operators’ tables, there are special signs informing that the operator has an online sign language interpreter.

These signposts will allow visitors of the Public Service Centers with disabilities to go directly to the operator with a surdo-online tablet.

Surdo-online tablets are constantly connected to the Internet and allow the operator to translate the wishes of the service recipients in real time.

The introduction of this system at the Public Service Centers will provide full communication with more than 3,000 people with hearing and speech impairments in Tashkent. And this shows that the Public Services Agency creates equal conditions for all to receive public services and tries to understand all our citizens.

In the future, it is planned to widely introduce this system in all Central State Administration and Registry Offices of the country.
