Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 January, a press conference was held in Tashkent with the participation of Deputy Chairmen of the Supreme Court, dedicated to the analysis of the administration of justice and the priority tasks of ensuring justice and the rule of law.
During 2021, the Republican courts considered 47,659 criminal cases, 428,869 cases of administrative offenses, 518,112 civil, 175,445 economic and 15,146 public disputes.
Compared to 2020, in 2021 the volume of civil cases increased by 78%, economic cases - by 68%, criminal cases - by 57%. An analysis of court cases shows that in 2021, compared to 2020, the number of such crimes as the intentional infliction of serious or moderate bodily harm, robbery, theft, and bribery increased.
According to the figures, out of 13,612 cases heard by the Supreme Court on cassation, 7,884 cases were heard by the panel of judges in criminal cases, 3,252 in civil cases, 1,336 in administrative cases, and 1,140 in economic cases.
In total, in 2021, the leadership of the Supreme Court accepted 18,658 appeals, of which 17,181 (92%) were received during field receptions.
Judicial practice, that is, an analysis of court cases, shows that in 2021, compared to 2020, the number of such crimes as intentional murder (by 16.7%), intentional infliction of serious or moderate bodily harm (by 61%), rape (by 13.5%), pillage (by 59.3%), robbery (by 1.8 times), embezzlement (by 1.5 times), theft (by 66.2%), bribery (by 56.9%), violation of traffic safety rules (by 28.7%), vehicle theft (39.2%), hooliganism (by 87.6%), but the number of crimes such as non-payment maintenance (by 10.8%), illegal receipt or transfer of foreign currency (by 24.5%), illegal production or circulation of seed products (by 68.4%), illegal circulation of potent or toxic substances (by 83.3%) grew.
The number of such offenses as traffic violations by drivers of vehicles causing minor bodily injury or significant material damage to the victim (by 55.4%), violation of the rules of trade or provision of services (by 7.6 times), petty hooliganism (by 35.1%) also increased, and at the same time, the number of such offenses as conducting illegal business activities (by 66.4%), violating the rules for combating epidemics (by 55.1%), and violating the rules for using electricity, heat and gas ( by 86.4%), violation of the legislation on the procedure for licensing, issuing permits and notifications (by 87.3%) decreased significantly.
In the reporting year, economic courts considered 400 cases concerning investment disputes. In 253 of the considered cases (63.3%), the claims were satisfied, in 80 cases (20%) the claims were denied, in 50 cases (12.5%) the claims were left without consideration, in 17 cases (4.2% ) review completed.
Cases relating to investment disputes were more often considered in Jizzakh (59), Tashkent (50), Ferghana (47), Kashkadarya (29) and Samarkand (29) regions than in other regions of the Republic.
