Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A summit of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Samarkand under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

At the meeting of the Council of Heads of State, the leader of Uzbekistan put forward important proposals and initiatives aimed at further rapprochement and fuller use of the huge potential of the Turkic world. 

Following the summit, the leaders signed the Samarkand Declaration and a number of other documents, planted trees in the Registan complex.

On this, the working trip of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Samarkand ended, he returned to Tashkent.
