Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Former President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Suma Chakrabarti will become an adviser to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, he wrote on his Twitter.

He noted that he will be appointed advisor to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on economic development, good governance and international cooperation.

“I would be happy to help him implement reforms,” he added.

Suma Chakrabarti served as President of the EBRD from July 2012 to July 2020.
