Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Schoolchildren may be temporarily transferred to online learning in Uzbekistan. The Minister of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan Khilola Umarova discussed with local authorities the beginning of the third quarter in schools.

At the meeting, the readiness of general education schools for the beginning of the third quarter was considered.

Minister Khilola Umarova stressed that local khokimiyats should re-evaluate the state of readiness of schools.

The Ministry of Preschool and School Education is considering temporarily transferring students to online learning until weather conditions stabilize.

It should be noted that the khokimiyats of several regions reported that they had postponed the opening of schools, universities, kindergartens and other educational institutions from January 18 to January 23.
