Strengthening business relations between Uzbekistan and India

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 22 October 2019, the Uzbek-Indian business forum and B2B meetings were held in Tashkent with the participation of business circles of the two countries, during which issues of deepening bilateral Uzbek-Indian cooperation were discussed.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development, as well as representatives of a delegation of more than 45 companies, led by Gujarat State Minister Vijaya Rupani and Zharayan Partasarti, the CCI press service reports.

In his speech, Adham Ikramov noted that the results of the visit of the Indian delegation testify to the mutual desire to expand bilateral cooperation. He also proposed to continue cooperation in the field of healthcare, pharmaceuticals, information technology, given the mutual interest in expanding trade between Uzbekistan and India. The personnel potential, leading and best practices of the Republic of India in the field of education were especially noted, therefore, further cooperation in this direction will undoubtedly contribute to the training of highly qualified Uzbek personnel in Uzbekistan.

On 20 December 2018, the Uzbek-Indian Center for Entrepreneurship Development was created at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the purpose of which was the creation of a training center at the CCI and the organization of training courses for entrepreneurs on modern business disciplines, as well as the organization of exchange of experience and internships for local teachers and entrepreneurs in the best innovation centers, technology parks and leading Indian companies.

The Chief Minister of Gujarat of India, Vijay Rupani, emphasized that he was interested in further establishing practical cooperation with Uzbekistan in various areas of the economy.
