Stone City Energy Ready to Expand Energy Cooperation with Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The management of JSC “Issiqlikta’minoti” held a meeting with representatives of the Dutch company Stone City Energy.
The company is currently implementing a project to construct a 1,560 MW thermal power plant in the Surkhandarya region, with a total investment of US$1.2 billion.
It is noteworthy that Stone City Energy is utilizing modern HL-class turbines from SIEMENS Energy, which allow for savings of 1.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas and increase efficiency to 63%.
During the meeting, Stone City Energy representatives expressed a strong interest in deepening cooperation. They were introduced to a number of projects that could potentially be implemented under public-private partnership arrangements.
The company confirmed its readiness to develop projects using innovative technologies aimed at serving public interests and protecting the environment.
