Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Retail trade turnover in January-June 2022 reached 134.13 trillion soums and increased by 9.9% compared to the same period in 2021, and trade turnover amounted to 30.40 trillion soums (growth rate - 30.9%).

Compared to the corresponding period in 2021, all regions saw an increase in retail growth.

In the structure of retail trade turnover of the republic, a significant share was noted in Tashkent, which is 25.5%, or 34.23 trillion soums.

In the structure of retail trade turnover, the volume of trade turnover of large enterprises increased by 30.9% and reached 30.40 trillion soums, which is 22.7% of its total volume.

The retail turnover of small businesses and private entrepreneurship, according to statistical calculations, in January-June 2022 amounted to 103.73 trillion soums and, compared to the same period in 2021, increased by 5.0%. The share of this sector in the republic in the retail trade turnover reached 77.3%.

The share of small business and private entrepreneurship, in comparison with other regions, was the largest in Surkhandarya (92.1%), Syrdarya (91.7%) and Namangan (91.0%) regions. In the structure of retail trade turnover, the share of trade turnover of large enterprises amounted to 22.7% of total sales, their main share was observed in Tashkent (39.3%), Tashkent (30.3%), Khorezm (22.5%), Samarkand (21.8%) regions.

The retail trade turnover per capita in the republic for January-June 2022 averaged 3.78 million soums (it increased by 7.7% compared to the same period in 2021).

This indicator, in comparison with other regions, was more recorded in Tashkent (11.86 million soums), Navoi (4.94 million soums) and Tashkent (4.62 million soums) regions.

According to preliminary data from a survey of individuals, the turnover of unorganized trade in January-June 2022 amounted to 11,352.7 billion soums and, compared to the same period in 2021, it increased by 12.8%. Including the turnover of trade in dekhkan markets amounted to 5,067.6 billion soums (an increase of 18.8%), the turnover of trade in livestock markets was recorded at 6,285.1 billion soums (an increase of 8.4%).

According to preliminary data from a survey of individuals involved in the sale of agricultural products, poultry and livestock (grown and kept in private farms), conducted in January-June 2022, the turnover of trade in dekhkan markets amounted to 5.06 trillion soums, livestock markets – 6.28 trillion soums.

In January-June 2022, in the structure of retail trade turnover, the share of trade turnover of public catering enterprises amounted to 3.5%, reaching 4.7 trillion soums, and increased by 19.4% compared to the same period in 2021. Of these, 75.8% of trade turnover falls on the share of small businesses.

Microfirms and small enterprises turnover reached 95.38 trillion soums and, compared to the same period in 2021, increased by 22.8%. The turnover of wholesale trade of small businesses, according to statistical calculations, amounted to 67.36 trillion soums and, compared to the corresponding period in 2021, increased by 21.4%. The share of this sector in the wholesale trade turnover in the republic amounted to 70.6%.

The highest growth rates in the wholesale turnover of large enterprises, compared to 2021, were observed in Bukhara (136.6%), Surkhandarya (51.2%), Navoi (37.9%) regions.

In recent years, the role of the public sector in the total volume of % of the total volume of wholesale trade has been steadily declining. The wholesale trade turnover in January-June 2022 amounted to 95,379.0 billion soums, including non-state entities - 95,369 wholesale trade turnover. Thus, for the reporting period, the share of this sector was fixed at the level of 0.15 billion soums, state subordination - 9.5 billion soums.
