State Statistics Committee: foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan exceeds US$24.49 billion

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-June 2022, the foreign trade turnover of the Republic of Uzbekistan reached US$24.49 billion, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The volume of imports amounted to US$14.56 billion, and the volume of exports was US$9.92 billion.

In January-June 2022, the volume of imports increased by 27.4% compared to the corresponding period in 2021. In particular, in the structure of imports, the volume of goods amounted to US$13.47 billion and services to US$1.1 billion.

In January-June 2022, the volume of food products imported into the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to US$1.61 billion (for the corresponding period of 2021 - US$1.19 billion), an increase of 35.8% compared to January-June 2021 (US$426.8 million).

If in January-June 2021 the share of food products in total imports amounted to 10.4%, then in January-June 2022 this figure increased by 0.7% and amounted to 11.1%.
