Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A man, who was wanted on charges of having links with international terrorist organizations, was brought to Uzbekistan. This was reported by the State Security Service (SGB) of Uzbekistan.

The State Security Service notes that the man went to Russia for seasonal work in February 2014. There, through the Internet, he established contact with members of terrorist organizations and fell under their influence.

The man returned to Uzbekistan. But in March 2015, he and his wife left for Turkey through Ukraine, leaving two children to their parents.

The State Security Service noted that from Turkey he crossed into Syria and joined the ranks of the international terrorist organization "Islamic State".

A man in 2015-2021 took part in hostilities in Syria and Iraq as part of terrorist organizations. In September, he was supposed to take part in organizing a terrorist attack in one of the countries of Central Asia, the State Security Service said.

Law enforcement agencies are now carrying out investigative measures.
