Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - As a result of joint operational and search activities of employees of the State Security Service and the State Customs Committee carried out in the framework of the fight against illicit drug trafficking, large consignments of them were seized.

In particular, during the operational event held in Jizzakh region, a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, born in 1976, a resident of the Makhtaaral district of Turkestan region and a local resident, born in 1989, living in Zaamin district, were detained at the time of the implementation of 3 kg 880 g "Opium" for US$32,000.

During the operational activities carried out in the Tashkent region, a citizen of the Russian Federation, born in 1984, a native of Kyrgyzstan and two citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, born in 1963 and 1968, with 9 kg 612 gr. narcotic drugs "hashish", as well as a citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan, born in 1983, with 1 kg 784 gr. "Opium" and 3 kg 765 gr. Hashish.

As a result of an operational measure carried out in  Samarkand region, a person was detained with 10 kg 300 grams of Opium. The detain person had previously been convicted of similar crimes.

During a joint operational event carried out by employees of the State Security Service for the Tashkent region and the regional customs administration, at the post of the Chinor road patrol service in Akhangaran district, a Nexia-3 car, which was on its way to the city of Kokand, was stopped. a local resident born in 1992, previously convicted of drug crimes.

The violator, disobeying the demands of the traffic police, tried to hide, however, by creating an artificial obstacle, he was detained.

When inspecting the interior of the car, 4 kg 902 gr of hashish were found and seized in a procedural order. 

During an operational event, carried out by employees of the State Security Service in the Andijan region, with the involvement of employees of the road patrol service, a Cobalt car on its way to Tashkent was stopped and inspected at a traffic police post in Buston district.

During the check, a passenger of a car, a previously convicted resident of Altynkul district, born in 1977, was found and procedurally confiscated 961 grams of opium.

During the pre-investigation check, it was established that he acquired this narcotic substance from a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, born in 1974, who had been previously convicted for similar crimes, now living in the city of Andijan, who was also detained. In addition, at his place of residence, 240 grams of opium was found and seized in a procedural order.

It should be noted that the narcotic drugs seized as a result of the carried out operational measures - 17 kg 165 grams of opium and 18 kg 279 grams of Hashish, smuggled from the territories of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

Currently, within the framework of criminal cases initiated against the above-mentioned persons, the necessary measures are being taken to establish the identity of their criminal connections.
