State Security Service of Uzbekistan launches national call center
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s State Security Service (SSS) has officially launched its own Call Center, established in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the State Security Service” to ensure prompt reception of inquiries from citizens and organizations regarding matters within the agency’s jurisdiction.
To contact the Call Center, individuals can simply dial the short number 1520. The center is designated to receive reports and alerts concerning threats to the country’s constitutional order, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as issues related to border protection and national defense security, including the Armed Forces and the defense-industrial sector.
The center also processes information related to the activities of terrorist and extremist organizations, organized crime groups, offenses involving the illicit trafficking of weapons, narcotics, and psychotropic substances, and corruption or economic crimes that may harm national interests.
Particular attention is given to reports of attempts to incite national, ethnic, or religious hatred, along with other offenses posing a threat to state security.
In addition, the SSS accepts inquiries related to criminal cases under its investigative authority as outlined in Article 345 of the Criminal Procedure Code, including articles 150–163, 182, 223, and 246 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The agency emphasized that all information provided will be treated with strict confidentiality, and the identity of whistleblowers will be protected.
