Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution “On measures to further improve the system of personnel training and scientific research in the field of physical culture and sports” was adopted.

According to the resolution, the educational programs of the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports and its branches will be formed according to the program of foreign universities with a high international rating.

From the 2023/2024 academic year, athletes are exempted from passing professional (creative) entrance exams with the award of the maximum score:

awarded the honorary title "Honored Athlete of the Republic of Uzbekistan";

having the sports title of "master of sports of Uzbekistan of international class" or "international grandmaster";

having the sports title "Master of Sports of Uzbekistan" or "Grandmaster of Uzbekistan";

winners (who took 1st place) of the championships of the republic in sports included in the programs of the Olympic and Paralympic, Asian and Para-Asian Games over the past year.

On 1 January 2023, the Pakhlavon Mahmud State Scholarship in the field of physical culture and sports was established.

From 1 January 2023, the Academic Council is being created to award the academic degree of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences (DSc) in the specialization "Theory and Methods of Physical Education and Sports Training".
