Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Sessions of factions of political parties were held in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis. 

Their members discussed the report of the Cabinet of Ministers on the implementation of the State Program "Year of Support for Youth and Strengthening the Health of the Population" for the third quarter of this year. Along with this, the deputies considered a number of bills that are planned to be included in the agenda of the next meeting of the lower house.

So, for the first nine months of this year, GDP growth compared to the same period of last year amounted to 6.9 percent. As a result of the measures taken in the reporting period, state budget revenues amounted to 116.1 trillion soums, which exceeds the projected forecast by nine trillion soums. The total expenditures of the state budget amounted to 130.3 trillion soums. Funds allocated to the social sector amounted to 64 trillion soums, which exceeds the expenditures for the same period of last year by 27.5 percent.

To actively involve the population in the formation of the State budget and, on the basis of public opinion, develop projects for the socio-economic development of regions, in accordance with the decree of the head of state since May of this year, five percent of the budget of 14 districts (cities) is directed to finance activities proposed by citizens. Since July, the minimum amount of additional funds from the budgets of districts (cities) allocated to finance activities developed on the basis of public opinion has been increased from 10 to 30 percent.

As a result, the deputies approved the government’s report on the implementation of the State Program for the III quarter.

Following the meeting, a resolution was adopted to further improve the efficiency of the government’s activities aimed at the implementation of fundamental tasks.
