Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Employees of the anti-smuggling and customs audit department of the State Customs Committee for the city of Tashkent, in cooperation with representatives of the Chukursay customs post of foreign economic activity, identified and suppressed an attempt to import goods not declared in the shipping documents.

In particular, at the customs post, a customs inspection was carried out in accordance with the established procedure in relation to a cargo container that arrived from abroad in the name of one of the limited liability companies of the Andijan region.

As a result, in the container, in which, according to the documents, 4 types of goods were to be found, not declared in the documents, such commodities as gloves, flashlights, glasses and other goods totaling 6 billion 202 million soums were found.

According to preliminary estimates, additional customs payments in the amount of 2 billion 620 million soums were calculated for the discovered goods.

Currently, on the revealed fact of the offense, customs inspections and investigative actions are underway.
